Preity Zinta responds to social media user asking her if she would file a defamation suit against Rahul Gandhi; here’s what she said!

Following certain allegations that were dropped against Preity Zinta regarding a financial matter, the actress decided to call out the political party Congress on social media along with issuing a public statement. Despite the actress taking a stand, a social media user wondered if she is considering legal action against party leader Rahul Gandhi for making such allegations. However, the actress had the calmest response on the issue and decided to share the same on the platform.

Preity Zinta recently came under the scanner after Congress party accused her of getting a loan of Rs.18 crores waivered with the help of BJP. While the actress has vehemently denied the same, one of her fans took to social media platform X aka Twitter and asked her if she is considering filing a defamation suit against Rahul Gandhi for spreading these false allegations, to which she responded, “I don’t think it’s fair to vilify anyone like that, as he is not responsible for someone else’s actions. I believe in handling problems or issues directly & not through proxy battles. I also have no problem with Rahul Gandhi, so let him live in peace & I will live in peace too”.

Meanwhile, the actress has also taken to the same platform to address the Rs. 18 crore loan controversy where she said, "No, I operate my social media accounts myself, and shame on you for promoting FAKE NEWS! No one wrote off anything or any loan for me. I’m shocked that a political party or their representative is promoting fake news & indulging in vile gossip & click baits using my name & images. For the record, a loan was taken and FULLY PAID BACK – over 10 years ago. Hope this clarifies and helps so there are no misunderstandings in the future."
