Esha Gupta goes off social media; says her team will continue to share verified information about COVID resources

After Warina Hussain and Fatima Sana Shaikh, now actress Esha Gupta has decided to go off social media. While she will be keeping her distance from social media, her team will continue to operate the page to share necessary Covid resources that can be shared with the public on her page.

“We are in this together. Seeing the situation in our country my family and I have contributed beds and essentials. Everyday seeing what our country is going through is just painful. I wish everyone who reads this a healthy life and pray for your families’ safety. Going off social media, but please continue sharing verified information so my team can share with all of you. Please take care and be grateful and kind towards one another,” wrote Esha announcing her departure from social media.

Earlier this week, Fatima Sana Shaikh also announced that she will be taking a break from social media. “Taking a break from social media. Stay safe guys,” she wrote without giving a reason.

Recently, Hina Khan, Amit Sadh, Aamir Khan and Warina Hussain have also gone off social media.

To All The Boys star Lana Condor and Riverdale's Cole Sprouse to star in sci-fi romantic comedy Moonshot set for HBO Max

To All The Boys fame Lana Condor, who bid adieu to the franchise earlier this year, is moving onto another romantic comedy Moonshot, set at HBO Max. The actress will star alongside Riverdale star Cole Sprouse in the upcoming sci-fi rom-com.

According to Deadline, "The romantic comedy with a sci-fi twist is set in a future where Mars is terraformed and colonized by the best humanity has to offer. Two very different college students wind up joining forces and sneak onboard a space shuttle to the red planet in order to be united with their significant others."

Riverdale executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will be producing Moonshot through Berlanti/Schechter Films along with Jill McElroy and Jenna Sarkin of Entertainment 360. Chris Winterbauer is set to direct.

Meanwhile, Lana Condor will next star in Netflix's spooky new show called Boo, Bitch. Cole Sprouse is currently starring on Riverdale as Jughead Jones. He will next be seen with Zachary Levi in Under Cover.

Suniel Shetty joins hands with KVN Foundation to provide free oxygen concentrators in Mumbai and Bengaluru

The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has hit the nation badly. With over three lakh cases reported daily, the healthcare system is falling short of essentials like beds, oxygen cylinders and medicines. Many celebrities and influencers are doing their bit by amplifying requests and donating. Now, Suniel Shetty along with KVN Foundation will be providing free oxygen concentrators.

Suniel Shetty has collaborated with KVN Foundation's initiative named Feed My City to provide oxygen concentrators to those in need. The second wave has led to a massive shortage of oxygen supply across the country. Taking to Twitter, Shetty wrote, "We are going through some testing times, but a ray of hope in this is the way our people have joined hands to help each other. I am grateful to be a part of this initiative along with @FeedMyCity1, an initiative of #KVNFoundation, to provide free oxygen concentrators.

"This is an appeal to all my friends and fans. DM me if you need help, if you know someone who needs help, or if you want to contribute and be a part of this mission. Please amplify this as much as you can and help us help them.Currently operating in #Mumbai & #Bangalore." he further wrote.

After bidding goodbye to the showbiz, Aashka Goradia tests positive for Covid-19 along with her husband Brent Goble

Popular Television actress Aashka Goradia, who was in the news recently for quitting her acting career, is now again in limelight. She recently revealed that she is stepping into her entrepreneurship career. Now, she has revealed that she and her husband Brent Goble both have tested positive for COVID-19.

Aashka was all set to leave for the USA along with her husband to meet Brent's family and took a precautionary test on Saturday and tested negative. However, to have double security, the actress went for another test on Monday and tested positive.

The actress herself declared it on her Instagram and wrote, "In preparation of our trip to my home in the US, @ibrentgobale and I have tested positive for COVID. We have been reeling from this news since this morning when we were just about to leave Goa. Both of us are feeling fine physically but the test reports say otherwise and that means we have to let the virus run its course."

She further thanked her healthy lifestyle responsibly for not facing extreme symptoms. Aashka wrote, "Thankfully with our active and healthy lifestyle we aren't experiencing any debilitating symptoms. She also mentioned she and her husband have isolated themselves in their home in Goa and are not in contact with anyone.

Aashka also posted a second Instagram story emphasizing the importance of taking precautionary measures in these tough times. She added, "Folks, it doesn't matter how healthy you are- everyone, literally everyone is at risk. This new strain is a nasty and sly devil."

She further thanked and appreciated her fans for sending her warm wishes and encouraged everyone to pray and wrote, "When we appreciate all the concern and speedy recovery wishes, I'd implore everyone reading this to please keep those who are really debilitated in your thoughts and prayer. We will be fine, while so many others may not be. Let's all hold a space for THEIR recovery, as well as those who are indirectly impacted. So much love from us.”

A source tells us, "Deepika plays the role of a fitness instructor. While many in the know say it's based on a celebrity fitness instructor, the team at Dharma Productions and the writers have completely denied it. But yes, it's true she plays a fitness enthusiast and a trainer in the domestic noir drama."

Apart from that, the insider also gives us some details on the film's storyline. "The plotline goes like this – Ananya Panday and Deepika Padukone play sisters in the film. While Deepika is opposite Siddhant, Dhairya plays Ananya's love interest. Shakun has always got a kick out of complex relationship stories and in this, the complexities come when Deepika gets physically involved with her younger sister Ananya's partner Dhairya. The whole extra marital issue has been treated with a lot of sensitivity, ala typical Shakun style and it's an emotional watch."

Lyca Productions takes Robot director Shankar to court

Shankar the maverick filmmaker from the South known for his big-screen fantasies has lately found himself in a bit of a legal jam. First there was the producer of Shankar’s 2005 Telugu blockbuster Anniyan. Producer Aascar V Ravichandran claimed—and rightly so—that the story and screenplay rights of Anniyan belonged to him and therefore Shankar was not within his rights to do the remake.

Now comes an even bigger blow to Shankar’s epic plans with his long-delayed Indian 2 finding itself in a legal imbroglio. The producers Lyca Productions have now gone to court to forbid Shankar from directing any other film until he completes Indian 2.

But will Indian 2 ever get completed? The film’s leading man Kamal Haasan has been busy with his political aspirations which are prioritized far above his film career at the moment.

An informed source reveal, “Indian 2 has been troubled from the word go. It has been facing one glitch after another. Now the producers going to the court asking that the director be prevented from signing other films until he completes Indian 2 could have far-reaching repercussions for all directors into multi-projects.”

SCOOP: S S Rajamouli’s RRR may not release on 13 October this year; may be pushed to 2022

S S Rajamouli’s post-Baahubali opus RRR has got itself into a massive Covid imbroglio. While Rajamouli is adamant to finally release the film on 13 October, as per the latest schedule plan, sources close to the project say the release in the given date seems “next to impossible”

One of the actors from RRR told this writer, “How can it release on 13 October? Both Ramcharan Teja and NTR Jr have a lot of pending shooting for RRR. Ramcharan hasn’t shot much this year. He was busy with his other project Acharya (featuring father and son Chiranjeevi and Ramcharan). NTR Jr also didn’t shoot this year. The plan was for them both to shoot and complete the film by July 2021. This now seems unlikely with the new Covid upsurge.”

The source says RRR may now be pushed to early next year. “We may come for Makar Sankranti in January 2022. Even that is doubtful at the moment.” This source rules out a digital release for RRR.
