Timmy Narang confirms divorce with Isha Koppikar; actress has moved out of his house with their daughter

Restaurateur Timmy Narang has confirmed his divorce from actress Isha Koppikar. For weeks, rumours about their separation were rife. However, Narang has now confirmed that not only is the divorce final, but the actress has also moved out of their house with their daughter.

In a statement to ETimes, Timmy Narang said that they were contemplating divorce for one and half years before taking the decision. He said, “The divorce was granted in November last year, and it was on amicable terms. Both of us are now free to move on with our lives, which is a fact. So, I don’t see why there should be any confusion regarding that. While I haven’t read the latest report, considering the legal option isn’t even an option because the divorce has already come through, it’s as simple as that.”

The source was earlier quoted saying, “The couple parted ways due to compatibility issues, which cropped up a while ago. They tried every bit to save the marriage but didn’t succeed. Isha has moved out of the house and is living separately with their daughter.”

Isha Koppikar married hotelier Timmy Narang in November 2009. They have now parted ways after 14 years of marriage.

On the work front, Isha Koppikar has worked in movies in several languages including Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. She has been a part of several films including Don, 36 China Town, Kya Kool Hain Hum, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Krishna Cottage among others. She made her Telugu debut with Chandralekha alongside Nagarjuna and her Tamil debut with Ayalaan.

EXCLUSIVE: Madhuri Dixit visits Plaza cinema during the show of her film Panchak; here’s what she said

Madhuri Dixit Nene and her husband Dr Shriram Nene have produced the Marathi film Panchak, which released in theatres on Friday. The film is a comedy born out of a superstitious belief. Madhuri, along with Dr Nene, surprised the audience at Dadar’s iconic Plaza cinema by paying a visit when the film was in its second half. This writer was present during that show. The gesture made the full house excited since it happened all of sudden.

While standing near the stage below the screen, Madhuri said in front of the audience, “A very big thanks to all of you for coming to watch our film and for making it houseful. Do continue showing your love for the film in the same way. You all have showered your love on me for so many years. And now you are showing the same love for Panchak, for which I am deeply thankful to all of you.”

Dr Nene added, “I have grown up here. My grandmother stayed nearby. I have seen so many films in this theatre. So I am very happy to visit this place again. The subject of Panchak is very challenging. To make such films, you need a balance of a comedic lens and education. This is possible in Marathi cinema.”

Panchak has an ensemble cast of Adinath Kothare, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Bharti Achrekar, Deepti Devi, Anand Ingle, Nandita Patkar, Vidyadhar Joshi, Tejashri Pradhan, among others.

Milap Zaveri to reunite Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, and Riteish Deshmukh in Masti 4; announcement to be made soon

Being one of the pioneers of sex comedies in Indian cinema, especially Bollywood, 20 years ago, the franchise of Masti (2004) kick started with Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead. With two films that followed in the years 2013 and 2016, now, the makers have decided to revive the franchise with a fourth instalment being planned. While all the installments in the past have been directed by Indra Kumar, we hear that this fourth instalment will be directed by Milap Zaveri. If sources are to be believed, the movie will kick start once the leading ladies are finalized.

A well-placed industry source opened up about Masti 4 being in the pipeline and told Bollywood Hungama, “Yes, its true. They are planning to revive the Masti franchise. It is expected to be one of the first of its kind in sex comedies and the makers are keen on wanting to take it ahead. In fact, the script is ready and Milap Zaveri has also come on board as the director.” When asked further about the casting, the source added, “Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani are aware of this and they can’t wait to reunite. They last came together for this film, almost seven years ago. But the makers are currently busy looking for the leading ladies and are yet to finalize on the same”.

Further, when questioned as to why the makers have not announced the same, the source revealed that they are waiting for the time and shared, “20 years ago, in April 2004, the first film, Masti released. As it completes twenty years this year, they will be making an announcement on the same day, or they, Indra Kumar and Ashoke Thakeria might look at commencing shoot around the same time.”

Meanwhile, speaking of the cast, while the first instalment of Masti featured an ensemble cast of Lara Dutta, Ajay Devgn, Genelia D’Souza, Amrita Rao, and Tara Sharma, the second instalment Grand Masti had Sonalee Kulkarni, Manjari Fadnis, Karishma Tanna, Mariyam Zakharia, Bruna Abdullah, and Kainaat Arora in lead roles. Great Grand Masti starred Puja Banerjee, Urvashi Rautela, Shraddha Das, Mishti Chakraborty as the leading ladies.

Akshay Kumar to attend pro-kabaddi league match on January 7 in Mumbai

With many Bollywood celebrities extending their support to sports, joining the league is Akshay Kumar. After investing in cricket, now the actor has showcased his interest in kabaddi. Although he has not announced any ownership of the team, he will be seen attending a pro kabaddi league match on January 7 which will be held at the NSCI Dome in South Mumbai.

Akshay Kumar is all set to make the NSCI Dome his cheering ground, as he throws his support behind the high-octane action of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 where Puneri Paltan will face Tamil Thalaivas in the first match followed by Bengal Warriors vs Haryana Steelers. Akshay Kumar, who has often confessed about being a true sports enthusiast, recently showcased his volleyball skills in a match with the Bengal Warriors team, and the video went viral. Joining him on the celebrity sports bandwagon were the likes of Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani. If that wasn’t all, the actor also recently confessed about investing in sports and announced his association with a cricket league. Adding to it, we hear that the actor is also quite passionate about kabaddi and will be showering his love on the game on Sunday.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in Mission Raniganj, is gearing up for the much-awaited action entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan where he will be joining hands with Tiger Shroff for the first time. Raid 2: Ajay Devgn to return as IRS officer Amay Patnaik

Following the tremendous success of the 2018 film Raid, Ajay Devgn will be reuniting with director Rajkumar Gupta as well as producers Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar for the highly anticipated sequel – Raid 2. The makers took to social media to make this announcement, much to the excitement of Ajay’s fans, and even asserted that it will releasing in the final quarter of this year. Furthermore, the makers also revealed that the film is already going on floors, adding to the anticipation.

Celebrating the unsung heroes of the Income Tax Department, Raid 2 yet again will narrate a true case from their books. The makers took to social media to mark the return of the franchise with a first look poster. Although the poster refrained from revealing the look Ajay Devgn will sporting in the film, it featured a caption that read, “The wait is over! The shoot has commenced on January 6, and we hear that while it kicked started in Mumbai. It will also be extensively shot in other places like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Readers would be aware that the prequel captivated audiences with its gripping narrative, and now, with the sequel underway, Raid 2 promises even more intensity with double the drama and suspense.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar under their banner T-Series and Panorama Studios, the film will release theatrically on November 15, 2024. Further details on the casting are still awaited.

Rashmika Mandanna to take a break from Pushpa 2 shooting to attend Animal success bash in Mumbai

Rashmika Mandanna, who has been currently shooting in Hyderabad for her much-awaited film Pushpa 2, along with Allu Arjun will be taking some time off her busy schedule to make a quick trip to Mumbai. The reason? To celebrate the humongous success of her recent film Animal, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, which featured her in the role of his wife Gitanjali in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial.

A source close from the production confirmed the same adding that she has already taken permission for this break as she is keen on attending the bash and celebrating the success of one of the record-breaking films this year. The source revealed, “Rashmika, who has been shooting for a song for her upcoming film Pushpa 2 has taken special permissions from the producers of the film to make a quick trip to Mumbai amidst shoot, to be part of the success party of Animal. She will be flying to Mumbai on Saturday just in time for the party and returning to Hyderabad to resume shoot. Clearly the celebration would have been incomplete without her!”.

Speaking of the success bash, the entire team of the film will be seen hosting celebrations in Mumbai and it is undoubtedly anticipated to be a star-studded affair. And Rashmika's presence is expected to add an extra layer of excitement. Rashmika’s role as Gitanjali seems to have made space in the hearts of many and we hear that the actress will also play an integral role in the sequel to the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, titled Animal Park.

Meanwhile, talking about Pushpa 2, the film will too see her reprise the character of Srivalli and it will also feature Fahadh Faasil in an integral role along with Allu Arjun as the lead. The film is scheduled for release on August 15 this year.
