Koffee With Karan 8: Janhvi Kapoor recalls the heartbreaking moment when she learnt about Sridevi's death: “I could hear wailing from Khushi’s room”

In the latest episode of Koffee With Karan 8, sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor made their appearance together. While this was Janhvi's third time on the show, The Archies debutante made her first appearance. As they spoke about their lives and careers, they also recalled the time when they heard about their mother Sridevi's death.

Recalling the moment when she learnt about her mother's death, Janhvi said, “When I got the call, I was in my room and I could hear wailing from Khushi's room. I think I barged into her room, howling and crying but what I do remember is she looked at me and the minute she looked at me, she just stopped crying. She just sat next to me and started comforting me and I've never seen her cry about it since.”

Khushi Kapoor shared, “I felt like I had to hold it together for everyone because I feel like I've always been the strong one.”

In the same episode, Janhvi also spoke about how Khushi is more similar to Sridevi, “She is a very quiet person and I think that is one thing she has in common with Mumma. But in front of the camera, she just explodes,” she said.

Sridevi died in 2018 in Dubai, where she was attending Boney Kapoor's nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding. It was announced that the cause of her death was accidental drowning. Sunil Grover starrer Sunflower to return for second season on ZEE5

ZEE5 announced the launch of the second season of Sunflower. Created by showrunner Vikas Bahl and directed by Navin Gujral, the show features Sunil Grover in the lead role alongside Ashish Vidyarthi, Ranvir Shorey, Mukul Chaddha and Girish Kulkarni in other prominent roles. The show is a crime comedy and revolves around a middle-class housing society in Mumbai called Sunflower featuring an array of quirky characters.

Picking up right where the first season left off, DG and Tambe find themselves still stranded, relentlessly searching for Mr. Kapoor’s murderer. In the upcoming Season, the cast from Season 1 will reprise their roles: Sunil Grover as Sonu Singh, Mukul Chaddha as Mr Ahuja, Ashish Vidyarthi as Dilip Iyer, Ranvir Shorey as Inspector Digendra, and Girish Kulkarni as Inspector Tambe. This time around, the intrigue deepens with twice the number of suspects including, of course, Sonu who is India’s most loved murder suspect. The viewers will witness Sonu, in his usual fashion, casually keeping them guessing, while the mysteries unfold.

MEGA EXCLUSIVE: Kabir Khan approaches Salman Khan with Babbar Sher

Salman Khan and Kabir Khan are two of the most celebrated names of Indian Cinema, who have worked together on blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Over the years, there has been demand for the duo's union on a feature film and Bollywood Hungama has exclusive dope that it could indeed happen very soon.

Our highly-placed sources confirm that Kabir Khan has pitched a script close to his heart to Salman Khan. "Kabir feels that the character suits no one but Salman. There are people around who are trying to push other stars to play the part, but Kabir is firm on Salman being his first choice for this feature film," a source told Bollywood Hungama.

Kabir has already met Salman a couple of times and more meetings are expected to take place this month. "Salman too is excited by the idea. The script is titled Babbar Sher and if Salman agrees to do the film, it will mark the 4th collaboration of Salman and Kabir after Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Tubelight," the source told us further.

For those unaware, Salman and Kabir have met once each in the month of November & December to discuss the basic idea. Kabir has promised Salman to come back with the complete script by January end. The final decision on the same is expected to be taken by both Salman and Kabir in the next 45 days but we do hope for a reunion as Salman and Kabir will definitely make for an unbeatable combo.

Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh unite for Manish Malhotra's production Ul Jalool Ishq

Kicking off the New Year on a big note, designer Manish Malhotra has announced his third production Ul Jalool Ishq under his banner Stage5 Productions. The announcement was made on January 2, 2024. Starring Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sharib Hashmi, the film will be directed by Vibhu Puri with Vishal Bhardwaj and Gulzar’s involvement in the project. The shooting for the film commences on January 9.

Manish took to his Instagram account on Tuesday to share a few photos of the cast and wrote, “Bewakoofiyan, Nadan galtiyan, badi bhool hai ishq; Sach Poochiye toh mere huzoor ul jalool hai ishq! I am so happy to announce Stage5 Production's third film production. A beautiful film, Ul Jalool Ishq, written and directed by Vibhu Puri, starts shooting on January 9 with this supremely talented cast: Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sharib Hashmi. It is an honour to work with Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj, produced by Dinesh Malhotra.”

Last year, Manish Malhotra announced two of his productions. One is Bun Tikki which features veteran actors Zeenat Aman and Shabana Azmi, along with Abhay Deol. It is being directed by Faraz Arif Ansari. The second project is Train from Chhapraula, marking the directorial debut of Tisca Chopra. The film features Sharat Saxena and Radhika Apte in lead roles. Fighter director Siddharth Anand dismisses runtime rumors; says, “Real run time is under 2 hours…”

Filmmaker Siddharth Anand has put an end to rumours swirling around the runtime of his upcoming action epic, Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Amidst speculation that the film might clock in at a hefty three hours, Anand took to social media to clarify, "Fighter run time rumors. Real run time is under 2 hours 40 minutes."

The makers recently unveiled the film's adrenaline-pumping teaser, showcasing Hrithik as a fighter pilot soaring through the skies and Deepika alongside him, both portraying dedicated Air Force officers. The glimpse, packed with aerial stunts and patriotic fervour, left audiences roaring for more.

Fighter, presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Marflix Pictures, boasts real Sukhois, Indian fighter planes, adding authenticity to the action sequences. Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi also star in pivotal roles.

This marks Hrithik and Deepika's first on-screen collaboration, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film. Hrithik and Siddharth Anand have previously delivered hits like Bang Bang and War, while Deepika and Anand collaborated on Pathaan.

Earlier, Siddharth had said in a statement as quoted by news agency PTI, “The teaser launch is an exciting prelude to the spectacle we aim to bring to the screen. It's just a fraction of the drama and intensity that the movie encapsulates.” He further added, “This glimpse hints at the meticulous craft, from the exhilarating aerial sequences to the powerful performances by our talented cast. We're thrilled to unveil this glimpse and set the stage for the thrilling spectacle that awaits audiences on January 25th, 2024.”

In a heartwarming announcement on Sunday, television heartthrob Shaheer Sheikh and his wife, Ruchikaa Kapoor, revealed the arrival of their second bundle of joy, a beautiful baby girl named Kudrat. Makers of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal to celebrate the incredible success of the film on January 6

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal has not only attained success at the box office but it has also become one of the highest grossing Bollywood movies ever. Starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, the movie has achieved this despite being 3 hours 23 minutes long and, more importantly, getting an Adults only certificate from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). Released exactly a month ago on December 1, the movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri.

When a film attains such a stupendous success, it is obvious for the makers to celebrate. Hence, as per information received by Bollywood Hungama, the team of Animal will be throwing a success bash in Mumbai on Saturday January 6. We have also come to know that the party is going to be a grand one at the posh Jio World Convention Centre at BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex).

As expected, along with the cast and team Animal, some big names from the film world are expected to attend the celebration.
