Save the date: Metro In Dino set to release on Good Friday March 29 2024

Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu's Metro In Dino, has just announced its new release date. The film will now hit the theatres on Good Friday - March 29, 2024. Get ready to be swept away by the heartwarming stories of modern-day couples brought to life by a talented ensemble cast. Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh will grace the screen with their incredible performances.

While announcing the project in December 2022, filmmaker Anurag Basu said, “Metro… In Dino is a tale of the people and for the people! It has been a while since I am working on this one and I am glad to be collaborating with a powerhouse like Bhushan Kumar yet again who has always been like a pillar to me! The storyline is fresh and relevant as I look forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring the essence of contemporary aura. As the music plays a very important role in any film, I couldn’t be more happy to be collaborating with my dear friend Pritam who has literally added life to the characters and story with his work,” in a statement. 

Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Anurag Basu Productions Pvt Ltd present Metro In Dino. Directed by Anurag Basu, with music by Pritam, it is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu and Taani Basu.

Makers of 72 Hoorain to hold a special screening at JNU on July 4 2023

Amidst a whirlwind of controversies since its teaser launch, the film 72 Hoorain gears up for a special screening at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Tuesday, 4th of July.

Talking about the screening of 72 Hoorain at JNU, the makers of the movie said that it presents a significant moment for Kashmiri Muslims and other students to express their thoughts and reactions to a film that delves into the gruesome reality of terrorist camps. Kareena Kapoor Khan Tabu Kriti Sanon starrer The Crew to release on March 22 2024

The producer duo, Ektaa R Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor reveal the long-awaited release date for their upcoming most anticipated film, The Crew for March 22, 2024. The movie stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles.

Ever since the announcement of the film, fans have been super excited to watch an all-female cast leading the project. This also marks the collaboration between Ektaa R Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, following their successful film, Veere Di Wedding.

The film also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma. The Crew is one of the most ambitious projects of Ektaa R Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor. It was shot in Mumbai and Abu Dhabi.

Ranveer Singh to headline Don 3; official announcement to come on his 38th birthday

Post the success of Pathaan, the talks around Shah Rukh Khan returning as Don in the third instalment of the series started surfacing on the internet. However, the development left a section of moviegoers disappointed as it was reported that not Shah Rukh but Ranveer Singh will be headlining Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar.

Amid the rumours, it is now learnt that Ranveer Singh will be playing the titular role in the upcoming part of the franchise. And an official announcement to confirm the same will be made next week on the occasion of Ranveer’s birthday, that is July 6.

Varun Dhawan-Janhvi Kapoor starrer Bawaal trailer to launch on July 8 in Dubai

Excitement is building up for Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's upcoming film, Bawaal, as the release date draws near. Bollywood Hungama has been keeping readers informed about this film, and now it's time for the much-awaited trailer. Set to be launched on July 8, the Bawaal trailer will be unveiled at a grand event in Dubai. 

A day after the trailer launch, a media event with team Bawaal including Varun and Janhvi will be held. Amazon Prime Video, the streaming platform that secured the rights to release Bawaal, is leaving no stone unturned in promoting this direct-to-OTT extravaganza. With their extensive marketing efforts, they aim to create a buzz around the film and attract a wide audience.

Initially scheduled for a theatrical release on July 21, the makers have made a significant decision. Bawaal will now be available for streaming on the Amazon Prime Video platform from July 27, allowing viewers to enjoy the film from the comfort of their homes. This decision comes after careful consideration by the team, including lead actor Varun Dhawan.

Varun, along with others in the core team, felt that it would be inappropriate to release Bawaal on OTT a day before Karan Johar's much-anticipated film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, hits the cinemas on July 28. Showing respect and admiration for his mentor, Varun, who was launched by Karan in Student Of The Year (2012), wanted to avoid any clash between their films and ensure a fair release for both.

Sunny Deol and Anil Sharma get a 'No Objection Certificate' from the Indian Army on Gadar 2

The anticipation and curiosity around the sequel of the iconic blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha has created a massive buzz ever since the first look of the film is out. The love showered by the masses on the re-release of the film proved how the film has engraved an extremely special place in the hearts of the viewers.

As a pre-requisite for any army-based film in India to obtain a No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Defence Preview Committee before release, the makers held a special screening of the film and the response they received from the officials was extremely heartwarming. The Ministry of Defence Preview Committee didn’t only give the green light to Gadar 2 but also shared positive words of acclamation for the film.

Helmed by director-producer Anil Sharma, and produced by Zee Studios, the movie stars Superstar Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles. The movie is scheduled to release in cinemas on 11th August 2023. Farhad Samjis loss is Tarun Mansukhanis gain; real reason why Farhad was dropped from Housefull 5

Farhad Samji’s loss is Tarun Mansukhani’s gain. Farhad Samji has no option but to take the blame for the failure of the Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan although Salman ghost-directed the whole film. Nonetheless someone other than the superstar has to take the rap. Farhad now finds himself out of Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 5 which was rightfully Farhad’s. Farhad had directed Housefull 3(with his brother Sajid) and Housefull 4 (Farhad took over the latter after Sajid Khan was sacked).

Housefull 5 was his for the taking…. Until Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan came and tanked. Farhad Samji woke up on Friday to the announcement of Housefull 5 with another director’s name in his place.

It’s been a long wait for director Tarun Mansukhani. Once upon a time, he directed the successful Dostana with Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham. Since Dostana, Mansukhani has been writing and re-writing Dostana 2 for Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film was finally scrapped when Kartik Aaryan who was to play the lead in the Dostana sequel, did not like the script.

In between Mansukhani directed the ill-fated Drive starring Sushant Singh Rajput for Karan Johar. Drive and Dostana 2 would have signalled a dead-end for the director were it not for producer Sajid Nadiadwala who has poached Mansukhani from Dharma Productions and has given him a new lease of life.

Let’s hope Housefull 5 brings the Dostana glory back to its exiled director Tarun Mansukhani. As for Farhad Samji, he has learnt the hard way that nothing succeeds in this industry like success, and nothing fails like failure either.
