Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar to premiere on Netflix on May 3

Post its success at the box office, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is all set to wow its audiences once again on Netflix from 3rd May.

Talking about his excitement for the film releasing on Netflix, Ranbir Kapoor shares, “I am very excited that Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will now be available to entertain fans around the world. After the response we got in theatres, we are excited to be able to showcase our hard work to Netflix audiences across so many countries. I am eager to know the global audience reactions to our labour of love.’’

Adding onto that, Shraddha Kapoor says, “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is an anytime watch with friends and family and now viewers can do exactly that- watch it at home or on the go! Being able to share our film with a global audience is extremely exhilarating.”

Luv Ranjan, Director and Producer of the film shares, “As a filmmaker, my aim has always been to entertain audiences to the fullest while keeping the characters relatable and honest. We have received immense love from the audiences so far and we are hopeful that it will continue when the movie streams on Netflix too.”

Shahid Kapoor to shoot Anees Bazmee’s action-comedy in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar

Following his maiden release Farzi on a digital platform, Shahid Kapoor wrapped his next with Kriti Sanon in April 2023. The actor will now move on to comedy entertainer, in which he is collaborating with Anees Bazmee. Reportedly a pan-India project, it will be produced by Dil Raju. The big-ticket action-comedy will be kicking off in July. The makers have locked in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar as the shoot locations.

As per a report in Mid-Day, a source told the publication, “When he met Shahid last year, the actor loved the concept and said yes in principle. Anees dedicated the next six months to develop the comedy. Contrary to reports, it is not a remake of a south film, but an original script. Shahid is excited about the project as it not only sees him attempt a light-hearted fare after intense Jersey [2022], Farzi and the upcoming Bloody Daddy, but will also see him in a double role. True to his style, the director has designed it as a massy entertainer.”

The casting for the lead actress is underway. The actor is set to play a double role and all the pre-production work has begun.

BREAKING: Shah Rukh Khan to shoot for his HIGHLY AWAITED cameo in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 from May 8

Although some significant films this year have underperformed, the overall track record for Bollywood in 2023 is still better thanks to the super-success of Pathaan. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, Siddharth Anand’s directorial has emerged as the highest Hindi grosser of all time. Several factors went in its favour and excited the audiences. One of them was the cameo appearance by Salman Khan, who reprised his role of Tiger. The manner in which he rescues Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan) and the way both fight the baddies led to a frenzy in cinemas across the country.

Meanwhile, Tiger 3 will release this year and it is common knowledge that the Salman Khan starrer will see Pathaan in a guest role. As a result, the buzz for the Diwali release is skyhigh. And now Bollywood Hungama has learned that the shoot of this exhilarating sequence is going to take place very soon.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Shah Rukh and Salman will shoot for the said sequence from May 8. The filming will take place in YRF (Yash Raj Films) Studio and is expected to go on for around 5 to 7 days.”

Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma and also co-stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. The source continued, “Maneesh and producer Aditya Chopra have done extensive prep for this scene. They know that the sequence between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in Pathaan has been very well received by the audiences. With Tiger 3, the makers hope to take the camaraderie and madness one step ahead. There’s already palpable excitement among the crew members to shoot the scene. That Pathaan has got so much love worldwide has proved to be a booster shot for team Tiger 3!”

Pathaan and Tiger 3 belong to the YRF Spy Universe. The franchise began with Ek Tha Tiger (2012), starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and was directed by Kabir Khan. It was followed by Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff starrer War (2019), directed by Siddharth Anand also belongs to the YRF Spy Universe. After Pathaan and Tiger 3, the forthcoming films of the franchise include War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, and Tiger vs Pathaan, featuring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in lead roles.

Shah Rukh Khan signed jackets from Aryan Khan’s D'YAVOL X brand worth Rs. 2 lakh get sold out in a day

Following their working together as voice-over artists in the Hindi version of The Lion King, Shah Rukh Khan recently became the face of his son Aryan Khan’s luxury brand D’yavol X. For the ad campaign, Aryan directed his father and the luxury streetwear brand went live on their website on April 30. However, within a day, Shah Rukh Khan signed jackets which are worth Rs. 2 lakh and got sold out.

On April 30, 2023, Aryan Khan’s brand launched the Signature X jacket, a black jacket with subtle details, a hoodie, and D'YAVOL X's iconic red hand-painted X on the elbow. SRK had worked in the campaign photoshoot too. The signature jacket had been autographed by the superstar. The limited edition collection had only 30 units of the jacket and within 24 hours of its launch, it got sold out. The jacket is priced at Rs. 2,00,555.

The three entrepreneurs aim to bring consumers the best global experiences and authentic products across fashion, beverages, and exclusive events.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Pathaan. The film’s collections crossed Rs. 1000 crore at the worldwide box office. It released in theatres on January 25, 2023. The film starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, and it was directed by Siddharth Anand. He will also be seen in Atlee's Jawan in June 2023. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. Deepika is making a cameo in the movie.

SRK also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film is backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. It will release on the big screen on December 22, 2023. Sheezan Khan approaches court to seek return of his passport after released on bail from jail in Tunisha Sharma’s death case

Television actress Tunisha Sharma allegedly died by suicide at the age of 20 late in December 2022. Her Ali Baba Dastan-E-Kabul co-star and former boyfriend Sheezan Khan was arrested and sent to judicial custody following a complaint filed by Tunisha's mother Vanita Sharma alleging abetment to suicide. The actor was released on bail in March 2023 and now has approached the court to seek the return of his passport.

As per a report in ANI News, the actor has filed an application in Maharashtra's Vasai court for the return of his passport which was seized during the death case investigation. The Vasai court will hear his application on May 2, 2023. The actor reportedly said in his application that he has to fly abroad for his shootings, so he needs his passport.

During the investigation, Tunisha Sharma’s mother claimed that Khan cheated on her daughter. However, Khan’s family held a press conference to clear out some allegations made against Sheezan and said that she was like a family member to them.

Tunisha Sharma and Sheezan Khan reportedly broke up 15 days before the incident occurred in December 2022. The actor was released from Thane Central Jail on March 5 with Rs. 1 lakh surety bond ordered by the Vasai court along with the submission of his passport. Mann Ki Baat completes 100 episodes; filmmaker Abhishek Sharma lauds PM Narendra Modi and calls it “out-of-the-box initiative”

On Sunday, April 30, the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio program, Mann Ki Baat, was globally broadcasted, marking it a historic moment as it was transmitted live from the United Nations headquarters in New York. The program, initiated on October 3, 2014, has now become a vital aspect of the government's outreach program, engaging various social groups like women, youth, and farmers, and motivating community action. Among many others, filmmaker Abhishek Sharma, who helmed Parmanu and Ram Setu, also congratulated the PM.

Abhishek asserted, “It was a pleasure to attend the event marking the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat. There have been very few leaders in the modern Indian civilisation who have reached out and touched people’s hearts the way our Honourable Prime Minister has. It is due to his out-of-the-box initiatives like Mann Ki Baat that he has been able to create a direct communication highway between himself and the citizens of India.”

The talented director further added, “This highway is toll-free and without any bureaucratic barriers. This is the road of democracy where the entire nation converges every month to exchange views with its ‘Pradhan Sevak’. In many ways Mann Ki Baat is also Jann Jann Ki Baat. Congratulations to the Honourable Prime Minister on this eventful day and I wish him several more years of good health, so that he can continue to lead us in this exemplary way.”

On the other hand, a bunch of Bollywood celebs, including Madhuri Dixit, Shahid Kapoor, and Rohit Shetty attended the screening of the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat at Raj Bhavan, Delhi.

Kangana Ranaut advocates same-sex marriage in India; says, “It is a matter of heart”

The Supreme Court of India is presently considering a petition advocating for same-sex marriage in the country, with the central government opposing the petition. While the judgement is yet to come, a bunch of Bollywood celebs have shared their thoughts on this topic on social media including Kangana Ranaut. Besides the internet, Ranaut has once again spoken in favour of the same during her recent interaction with the media in Haridwar.

The Queen actress, on Sunday, visited Haridwar to offer prayers at Dakshin Kali temple and also participated in the Ganga Aarti. During her visit, she shared her thoughts on various topics including same-sex marriage. She said, “Jo shaadi hoti hai, woh dil ke rishte hote hai. Jab logo ke dil mil gaye hai baaki kuchh logo ki jo preference hai, usme hum kya bol sakte hai (Marriage is a matter of the heart. When hearts have met what can I say about their preferences?)”

On the other hand, readers may recall that a few days back, the Tanu Weds Manu actress had taken to her Twitter handle to express her views on the same, as mentioned above. Kangana expressed her opinion on not treating sexual preferences as a defining factor and emphasized that they should not be treated as an “identity card or medal”. She also offered three suggestions to parents on how to respond when their children ask about their identity.

Coming to the professional front, the 36-year-old actress has a bunch of projects lined up. She recently wrapped two of her upcoming projects, Emergency and her Tamil film Chandramukhi 2. Emergency was scheduled to release on October 20, however, to avoid a clash with Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath, Kangana has decided to reschedule it.
