Clean Slate Studioz (Clean Slate) unveils as a new partner for Yorkshire County Cricket Club

India-based streaming platform Clean Slate Studioz (Clean Slate) has been announced as the new Principal Partner for Yorkshire County Cricket Club. As well as becoming Principal Partner across Yorkshire Cricket County Club and the women’s team Northern Diamonds, Clean Slate will be the title sponsor at Yorkshire’s Headingley ground - the first Indian business with significant naming rights at a UK sporting venue.

The new 2-year partnership agreement, starting this season, gives Clean Slate, Title of Principal Partner of Yorkshire County Cricket Club and the Northern Diamonds; their name on the main pavilion, now known as the Clean Slate Pavilion; branding on the outside of the East Stand at Headingley, the main entrance to the ground; their name on the official Playing Shirt and Training Wear of Northern Diamonds; pitch branding for all non-televised games that are streamed.

As an Indian-based entertainment business and the world’s only female-forward, female-first original-content streaming platform scheduled to launch globally in 2023, Clean Slate has a stated mission for equality. It sees the opportunity for Headingley to drive inclusivity, diversity, and engagement through cricket, both as a sporting venue and the heart of a sporting community.

Speaking on the partnership, a first of its kind for a business in India, Clean Slate Filmz and Clean Slate Founder Karnesh Ssharma said, “We’re incredibly proud to partner with Yorkshire and to be the first Indian company to have their name prominently featured within a UK sports ground. Founded in 1863, YCCC is one of the most established professional cricket clubs in the United Kingdom with current international stars including Joe Root, Adil Rashid, and Dom Bess. They are the most successful team in English cricketing history with 33 County Championship titles, including one shared. Their ground is an international venue for cricket and will this year host England men’s LV=Insurance Test against New Zealand from Thursday 23 June and the final match of the one-day Royal London Series against South Africa on Sunday 24 July.

Aamir Khan likely to join SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR at the RRR success bash

After the success of the Baahubali franchise, director SS Rajamouli had once again hit the bull’s eye with the film RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead. To celebrate the success of the film, Jayantialal Gana of Pen Studios is throwing a success party in Mumbai on Wednesday. SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr NTR will be felicitated at the event with Aamir Khan as the special guest.

According to reports, SS Rajamouli is quite fond of Aamir Khan and the team send him an invite to the party. Aamir had earlier also graced a promotional event of RRR in Delhi, days ahead of the release of the film in March.

Meanwhile, fans have been eager to see a collaboration between Aamir and SS Rajamouli. The two are ambitious to bring the epic Mahabharata to the big screen.

Meanwhile, RRR is breaking records at the box office. The film has already emerged as the highest-grossing film of all time in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana surpassing Baahubali 2. The Hindi version of the film has also crossed Rs. 200 crore in less than two weeks of its release.

Squid Game creator Hwang Dong Hyuk announces his next feature Killing Old People Club with Netflix - "It will be more violent"

Squid Game director Hwang Dong Hyuk revealed that he’s developing Killing Old People Club, another thriller film inspired by a novel penned by Umberto Eco, the revered Italian intellectual and essayist.

As Variety reports, Hwang revealed he has already penned a 25-page treatment about the project which will surely be “another controversial film,” he said during a conversation as a keynote speaker for MipTV at an international Cannes Series Writer’s Club. “It will be more violent than ‘Squid Game,'” teased Hwang, adding that he might have to hide from old people after the film comes out. The project has the working title “K.O. Club.”

The critically acclaimed creator’s previous feature Squid Game followed cash-strapped characters competing in a brutal and fatal series of games in order to win desperately needed money. The deranged Netflix original series ranked No. 1 in most of the countries on the streaming giant. Though there were no initial plans for a follow-up, Netflix went ahead and ordered a second season due to the show's massive success. Hwang Dong Hyuk is on his way back home to South Korea to write the second season of the survival-thriller and hopes to have the show stream on Netflix by the end of 2024.

Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte starrer Forensic to premiere on ZEE5

National, 5th April 2022: ZEE5, India’s largest homegrown OTT platform, has set a benchmark when it comes to thriller series and films, and continuing the success rate, 2022 saw some of the best thrillers so far - such as Mithya, Love Hostel, Bloody Brothers and a glimpse of Abhay 3. Coming up next is another psychological thriller starring Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte, Forensic. Directed by Vishal Furia, Forensic is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film of the same name and is set to premiere on ZEE5 this year.

A Mini Films and Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Production, Forensic also stars Prachi Desai, Vindu Dara Singh, and Rohit Roy in pivotal roles. Radhika Apte will be returning to the screen after a year-long break and will be seen portraying the character of Megha Sharma, a police officer in the small sleepy town of Mussourie. Whereas Vikrant Massey will be returning to ZEE5 after his last successful releases, 14 Phere and Love Hostel. He will be essaying the role of Johnny Khanna, a Forensic Officer who is the best at his job. Together, Johnny and Megha will be chasing the vicious criminal who turns their lives upside down.

Moon Knight premiere scores 1.8 million viewership in US for Marvel show second highest after Loki

The premiere viewership for Moon Knight is the second-highest for a Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney+ show. The Oscar Isaac-led live-action series managed to pull in more viewers than the likes of Hawkeye and WandaVision when it premiered last week on Disney+.

"#MoonKnight first episode currently has a rating of 9.1/10 on IMDb which makes it the highest-rated first episode out of all the MCU Disney+ shows released so far," MCU Report tweeted.

The post shows WandaVision's first episode earning a 7.4, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier with a 7.6, Loki an 8.7, What If...? a 7, and Hawkeye a 7.6.

According to a Deadline report, Marvel’s five-day premiere last week of deeper universe protagonist Moon Knight hooked 1.8 million U.S. households, a figure that ties with the first-frame draw of Disney+/Marvel’s Falcon and the Winter Solider, but is ahead of Hawkeye over the same number of days by 20%. Essentially, the Disney+ Wednesday-Sunday premiere of Loki from June 9-13 remains the most watched for a Marvel series, or for that matter, any series on the streamer.

Per the report, Loki pulled in 2.5 million U.S. households and also holds the record for the most watched Disney+ season series finale over five days with 1.9M U.S. households, measured from July 14-18. These figures come from Samba TV, which measures 3 million SmartTV households stateside as their sampling, which tuned into the streaming series for at least five minutes.

Moon Knight was watched by 277,000 UK households in its first five days, 88K households in Germany, and 11K in Australia compared to Hawkeye which saw 199K UK homes, 63K German homes, and 10K in Australia over its first Wednesday-Sunday. WandaVision premiered on a Friday, while subsequent Marvel live-action series have dropped on Wednesdays.

Since Moon Knight marks Isaac's MCU debut as the title hero, it became a new test for Marvel Studios to see how well audiences would respond to an origin story on Disney+. With only one out of six episodes released so far, Moon Knight has proved to be another big hit for Marvel Studios after such viewership scores.

Moon Knight, starring Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke, is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Jason Momoa to star in, write and executive produce Hawaiian historical drama Chief of War for Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has given a straight-to-series order to Chief of War, a limited series starring, written and executive produced by Jason Momoa.

As Deadline notes, created by Momoa and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, the eight-episode Chief of War follows the epic and unprecedented telling of the unification and colonization of Hawaii from an indigenous point of view. The project marks the first time Momoa has written for television.

The Aquaman star and Sibbett also serve as executive producers alongside Francis Lawrence, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Erik Holmberg, and Doug Jung. Jung is also attached to serve as showrunner. Justin Chon is in negotiations to direct the first two episodes. Endeavor Content and Chernin Entertainment will serve as producers.

Jason Momoa currently stars in the Apple TV+ post-apocalyptic drama See, which has been renewed for a third season. The show takes place in a world where a virus has wiped out most of humanity and the only survivors have no sense of sight.

Harrison Ford to star alongside Jason Segel in his first TV series Shrinking for Apple TV+

Harrison Ford is returning to scripted television in a regular role for the first time in nearly three decades in Shrinking. The Star Wars actor will star opposite Jason Segel in the 10-episode comedy series from Apple TV+ and Warner Bros.

As Deadline reports, Shrinking follows a grieving therapist (Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives…including his own. Harrison Ford will play Dr. Phil Rhodes, a down-to earth, sharp as a tack “blue collar shrink,” blunt but with an ever-present twinkle.

The report describes Ford's Phil as “Phil is a pioneer in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy who has built a successful practice over the years that he shares with his two young proteges, Jimmy and Gaby. Fiercely independent, Phil has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, which forces him out of his comfort zone as he grapples with intrusive friends, his estranged family and his legacy.”

The upcoming comedy series is written and executive produced by Segel and Ted Lasso’s co-creator/executive producer/showrunner Bill Lawrence and star/writer/producer Brett Goldstein. Announced in October, it is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Lawrence’s studio-based Doozer Productions. Executive producers also include Doozer’s Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer.

Shrinking will be the first series with regular role for Ford in his career. He made a few guest appearances on TV series in the 1960s and ’70s. He is best known for roles as Han Solo in the Star Wars saga and the titular archeologist and adventurer in the Indiana Jones franchise, which he reprises in 2023’s Indiana Jones 5 as well as roles in the films Blade Runner, The Fugitive, Witness, and Patriot Games.
