REVEALED: Post The Kashmir Files here are details of Vivek Agnihotri’s next, and it’s not The Delhi Files

The Kashmir Files has catapulted Vivek Agnihotri into the league of the most wanted directors of the country. The pressure to turn the ‘Files’ into a franchise is tremendous. However, Vivek is very clear on this issue: the Files were always planned as a trilogy and the last segment in the Trilogy is The Delhi Files to be released next year. But, before The Delhi Files, there is a secret project that Vivek shot in Bhopal in the midst of the postponed schedules of The Kashmir Files in Kashmir.

The secret project is entitled Nautanki. It stars Anupam Kher and his old friend Satish Kaushik and is scripted by Rumi Jaffrey. Says Vivek Agnihotri, “We were shooting The Kashmir Files in Kashmir in March 2021 but had to stop in-between due to the lockdown. Since Anupam Kher had flown from the USA to shoot The Kashmir Files and got stuck in India due to the lockdown, we decided to utilize this time in making another film. We had this beautiful script ready and we happily decided to move to another film until December. Nautanki is our tribute to art, creativity, theatre, and cinema.”

Anupam is excited to work with Vivek Agnihotri again. “What makes Nautanki especially exciting is that my oldest and dearest friend Satish Kaushik is my co-star this time. We are working together after quite a while and looking forward to it.”

Kangana Ranaut says she is 'superstar host' of Lock Upp; calls Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh 'unsuccessful hosts'

Kangana Ranaut made her hosting debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Lock Upp in February this year. The show is definitely making headlines with contestants locked up in jail type setup. The actress, infact, claims that she is a 'superstar host' unlike Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, and Ranveer Singh.

Kangana Ranaut penned a long note on Monday which read, “Many successful actors have tried their hands on hosting like SRK, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh… they may have successful careers but they failed at hosting they are unsuccessful hosts, so far only Shri Amitabh Bachchan ji, Salman Khan ji, and Kangana Ranaut have achieved this glory to be a superstar host… privileged to be in this league.”

“I wish I didn’t have to state the obvious but jealous movie mafia is doing everything to discredit me and my show so I had to do the needful and I don’t mind… if I can stand up for everyone else I can stand up for myself also… it is wonderful to be the only successful host of this generation #lockupp,” the Manikarnika actress added.

A few days ago, she took a dig at Karan Johar as Lock Upp crossed 200 million views. “As lock up hits 200M views …. Sari changu mangu sena/media of cruella /papajo along with him, going to cry chup chup ke… itne papad belne ke baad bhi dekho 200M aur abhi aage aage dekho hota hua kya, tere rone ke din as gaye papa jo,” she wrote.

Lock Upp recently saw Karanvir Bohra and designer Saisha Shinde's return to the reality show whereas Nisha Rawal was evicted.

Prime Video announces the world premiere of its first legal drama Guilty Minds

Prime Video today announced its first-ever legal drama, Guilty Minds, starring Shriya Pilgaonkar (Mirzapur) and Varun Mitra (Jalebi, Tejas) in the lead. Created and directed by Shefali Bhushan, and co-directed by Jayant Digambar Samalkar, the legal drama follows the journey of two young and ambitious lawyers. While one is the epitome of virtue, the other is associated with a leading law firm, dealing with all shades of grey.

The series also stars Namrata Sheth, Sugandha Garg, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Satish Kaushik, Benjamin Gilani, Virendra Sharma, Diksha Juneja, Pranay Pachauri, Deepak Kalra, and Chitrangada Satrupa in pivotal roles and features guest appearances from actors such as Karishma Tanna, Shakti Kapoor, and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi.

This courtroom drama, where intriguing cases are fought by lawyers whose ideologies clash, is produced by Karan Grover and co-produced by Antara Banerjee and Naved Farooqui. Prime members in India and across 240 countries and territories can stream the Amazon Original Series from April 22, 2022.

Daniel Craig forced to temporarily pull out of Macbeth performances after positive Covid-19 test

James Bond star Daniel Craig is one of the many members of the Broadway production of Macbeth to have tested positive for Covid-19, following which performances of the show have been cancelled through April 7.

As The Hollywood Reporter reports, show cancellations were initially limited to a matinee and evening performance on April 2, which was announced on the production’s Twitter account. It was also confirmed that all tickets would be refunded at the original point of purchase, which will now also apply to performances through April 7. In a statement from the production's official Twitter account, Craig's positive result and the subsequent cancellations of the play were revealed less than two hours before its Saturday matinee performance.

“Today's matinee and evening performance of MACBETH are cancelled due to Daniel Craig just testing positive for COVID this afternoon,” the shared statement read. “We apologize for the inconvenience this causes ticket holders, but the safety of our audiences, the cast and crew remains our top priority. All tickets for the cancelled performance will be refunded at the original point of purchase.”

Macbeth began previews on March 29 and will officially open on April 28 for a 15-week limited engagement at the Longacre Theatre, New York. This adaptation of the classic Shakespearean drama is helmed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold. Daniel Craig stars opposite Oscar-nominee Ruth Negga in her Broadway debut. Macbeth is Craig's first role since ending his time as Bond, whom he has portrayed across five movies over 14 years. The English actor has previously starred in two Broadway plays, 2009’s A Steady Rain and 2013 revival of Betrayal.

The cast of the classic Shakespearan drama also includes Phillip James Brannon, Grantham Coleman, Asia Kate Dillon, Maria Dizzia, Amber Gray, Emeka Guindo, Paul Lazar, Bobbi MacKenzie, Michael Patrick Thornton and Danny Wolohan. The ensemble is rounded out by Che Ayende, Eboni Flowers and Peter Smith, with Stevie Ray Dallimore serving as the standby for Craig. The show is produced by Barbara Broccoli, The Shubert Organization, Michael G. Wilson, and Frederick Zollo.

After Oscars 2022, Grammys 2022 fails to honour Lata Mangeshkar; Indian Twitterati question diversity and inclusivity of the Awards

India's nightingale Lata Mangeshkar passed away earlier this year. The singer had a rich career of 70 years. However, Indian fans have been disappointed with the Grammys 2022 failing to honour Lata Mangeshkar in their In Memoriam sections that remembers all the entertainment personalities we lost over the past year. Even the Oscars 2022 that was held last week, failed to honour the late singer.

The Grammys 2022 which was held in the USA on Sunday night paid tribute to late Broadway singer Stephen Sondheim, Taylor Hawkins, Tom Parker, DMX, Meat Loaf, Ronnie Spector, Mark Lanegan, Shock G, Virgil Abloh, Biz Markie, Rusty Young, Connie Bradley, Stonewall Jackson, and Roger Hawkins during the In Memoriam section.

Indian Twitter was utterly disappointed with Grammys which celebrate music from across the world and yet did not honour the legendary Lata Mangeshkar.

Lata Mangeshkar passed away in February this year at the age of 94. She is remembered for songs like ‘Lag Jaa Gale’, ‘Ae mere Watan Ke Logon’, ‘Tere Bina Zindgi Se’, ‘Apki Narzon Ne Samjha’. She had recorded songs in over thirty-six Indian languages primarily in Marathi, Hindi, and Bengali. Lata Mangeshkar has been honoured with the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Dadasaheb Phalke Award, many National and Filmfare Awards.

BREAKING: Prabhas to undergo major knee surgery; recovery period is 3 months, will likely affect shoot of Salaar & Project K

After completing and promoting the ill-fated Radhe Shyam, Prabhas left the country for a long-pending surgery, which his team has been instructed to deem “minor”. However, all of Hyderabad is wondering how “minor” Prabhas’ supposedly surgery actually is. Apparently, Prabhas will not be shooting for the next 2-3 months, as he has been advised full bed rest until he recovers from the medical procedure.

So what is this surgery about?

A well-informed source in Hyderabad says it is a knee operation. “His leg had been injured during the action scenes of a film, Saaho I think. He had been advised surgery a few years back. However, the treatment was not time-specific. So Prabhas postponed it until his pending projects were done. Then there were delays due to Covid. Now he’s finally gone for it.”

With shooting for some major films like Prashanth (KGF) Neel’s Salaar and Ashwini Dutta’s Project K still to be wrapped up, Prabhas has to resume as soon as he is advised to. He has completed the shooting of his next release Adipurush where he plays Bhagwan Rama.

Yami Gautam cautions her followers that Instagram account could be hacked

Yami Gautam’s fans and well-wishers have always got to see their favorite actress up-close and personal and catch her latest personal and professional updates on her Instagram profile. However, it was only yesterday that Yami noticed unusual activity on her account and hence cautions fans on a probable hacking.

In a statement, the actress said, “Unfortunately, since yesterday, I have been logged out of my Instagram account and it appears that someone has hacked my account. In case there are any unusual posts/messages being shared through the account, please note that my team and I currently don't have any control of it and are working towards retrieving it.”
