No name decided as yet for Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s new born son; Sharmila Tagore yet to see her new grandchild

For those wondering what Taimur Ali Khan’s kid brother is going be named, they would have to wait a little longer. I touched base with ecstatic father Saif Ali Khan asking about this, and he replied saying there is no name yet, and both mother and baby are doing fine.

In the meanwhile Saif’s mom Sharmila Tagore is yet to see her new grandchild. A friend of the family tells me, “With the Covid situation being what it is, travelling from Delhi to Mumbai is not advisable for Sharmilaji and she may wait a bit longer before seeing her new grandson.”

Saif and his son Taimur are in the meanwhile enjoying their new at-home roles as Papa and Big Brother, respectively.

“Taimur is very protective towards his new little brother. He sits staring at the newly-born with a look of supreme joy on his face,” says the source. Saif has taken s few weeks off to be with his newly born. He returns to his work to shoot for Om Raut’s Adipurush.

Magnum opus Sita - The incarnation announced, Baahubali’s KV Vijayendra Prasad and Alaukik Desai to pen the script

Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad is easily one of the finest writers in the film industry. His work includes Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Magadheera, Baahubali: The Beginning, and Baahubali: The Conclusion among others. Now, the writer will pen the script of magnum opus Sita - The incarnation along with Alaukik Desai.

The announcement was made on Thursday, February 25, 2021. The untold story of India's largest divine epic will have dialogues and lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. The film will be helmed by Alaukik Desai. It is touted to take the world’s cinematic audience on a breathtaking VFX-based journey of India’s mythological magnum opus.

The cast is yet to be announced and more details are awaited.

Rhea Kapoor, Guneet Monga and Tahira Kashyap to host the special screening of The Married Woman

With just a few days to go for the launch of ALTBalaji's The Married Woman, Rhea Kapoor, Guneet Monga, and Tahira Kashyap Khurrana wish to host a special screening of the show in Mumbai on 7th March, a day before the show's launch.

Not to forget that Ekta Kapoor, Guneet Monga, Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, and Ruchika Kapoor have recently launched an initiative called Indian Women Rising – A Cinema Collective in January this year, paving the way for women directors to flourish and come forward. Therefore bring out stories, 'of, by & for women!'

Since The Married Woman comes across as a very different show with an aspirational narrative revolving around women and their choices, Rhea Kapoor, Guneet Monga, and Tahira Kashyap Khurrana mutually wished to come together to host a special screening of the show. A show that talks about discovering oneself amidst societal conditioning have definitely touched the right strings across the power women trio. They came together to showcase their solidarity and support to Ekta Kapoor, for the piece of art based on renowned author Manju Kapur's book A Married Woman.

It's learnt that Ekta Kapoor is quite excited about The Married Woman and wants everyone to watch the show, especially the female populace.

The Married Woman is an urban relationship drama about women and their conditioning levied by society and her search to find herself. The show features Ridhi Dogra and Monica Dogra as the central characters and notable actors, including Imaad Shah, Ayesha Raza, Rahul Vohra, Divya Seth Shah, Nadira Babbar, and Suhaas Ahuja, among others. The show premieres on March 8, 2021.

Dil Bechara star Sanjana Sanghi to headline horror-comedy Stree's prequel titled Munjha

Actress Sanjana Sanghi finally is finding her footing in the industry. After much delay, her film Dil Bechara premiered on OTT which starred late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She has already begun shooting her next OM - The Battle Within and has signed her third lead role already! Sanjana Sanghi has been reportedly signed for the prequel of horror-comedy Stree which will be titled Munjha.

According to a tabloid, producer Dinesh Vijan began to build a horror-comedy universe starting with 2017 Stree starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao followed by 2011's Roohi with Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma, and 2022's Bhediya with Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

Adding to that is Munjha starring Sanjana Sanghi. This will be a prequel to Stree and the last standalone film in the horror-comedy universe. The plan is to establish characters in such a way that they will cross paths with each other at some point very similar to Rohit Shetty's cop universe with Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi.

Apparently, this part was offered to Alia Bhatt first but the report states she was keen on doing multi-heroine film yet. Stree's director Amar Kaushik, who is directing Bhediya, will serve as creative producer whereas Munjha will mark the directorial debut of Sriram Raghavan's assistant Yogesh Chandekar. The film is reportedly set to go on floors this year!

Shashank Khaitan’s Mr Lele back on track! Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal to start shooting this year

Kiara Advani is currently one of the busiest actresses of Bollywood with multiple films in her kitty. She flew down to Manali on Wednesday night to join the team of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 for which she will be shooting for a week before returning to Mumbai for the next schedule. Now, it has been reported that Kiara Advani will also be a part of Mr. Lele which will go on floors this year.

Kiara Advani will be reuniting with Vicky Kaushal on screen after Lust Stories for Mr. Lele. The Shashank Khaitan directorial was announced a year ago with Varun Dhawan as the lead. However, he later got replaced by Vicky Kaushal. In March 2020, it was announced that Mr. Lele had been shelved as things were not falling into place. However, things seem to have fallen into place now and the makers plan on taking the film on floors later this year.

Before starting with Mr. Lele, Kiara Advani will be wrapping up Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Raj Mehta's Jug Jugg Jeeyo with Varun Dhawan.

Kiara Advani will also be seen in Ashutosh Gowariker production Karram Kurram where she plays the role of a woman who started a cooperative organization with other housewives and went on to establish a monopoly in papad business.

Meanwhile, Kiara's next release will be Shershaah alongside Sidharth Malhotra. The film set in the backdrop of the Kargil War will be released in July.

Sanya Malhotra shares teaser of Pagglait; film to release on Netflix on March 26

Sanya Malhotra got the perfect birthday present as Netflix dropped the teaser of her upcoming film Pagglait, slated to release next month. After stealing hearts with her performance in Ludo, Sanya is back on Netflix in this dramedy which takes viewers on an emotional journey with a true-to-life portrayal of a typical Indian middle-class family navigating a crisis. Sanya plays the role of the recently widowed Sandhya struggling to mourn the death of her husband. As events unfold, Sandhya sets onto a path of self-discovery, attempting to find her identity and purpose in life - all this while living amidst the quirky members of her joint family.

Directed and written by Umesh Bist, the film boasts an ensemble cast consisting of veteran actors - Sayani Gupta, Shrutii Sharma, Ashutosh Rana, Raghubir Yadav, Sheeba Chaddha, Meghna Malik and Rajesh Tailang.

Sudhir Mishra to trace the rise of British Raj in India for his next

For his next film, filmmaker Sudhir Mishra plans on revisiting the history of India. The filmmaker is currently developing a period drama that traces the rise of the British Raj in India during the 19th century.

Reportedly, the story is set in 1840. The filmmaker feels that it is time to tell our own stories so that the next generation knows the stories of our freedom. The show will take a hard look at what the British did to India and how they established their rule over the country.

Talking to a tabloid, Mishra said that he has written the first season. He said that considering the nature of the subject, the series has to be mounted on a massive scale and it will take them time to roll the project.

The web series has been envisioned by Mishra and backed by Applause Entertainment as a three season offering. Mishra further said that the series will be an international show and will include western actors alongside Indian artistes.
